Clint Barton is a soldier.

He's a well trained soldier with a very specific skill set. He and his partner, one Natasha Romanoff are part of the SPECIAL ACTIVITIES DIVISION of the CIA. When the government needs something done, they're the ones sent in to do it.

And while it might be a little more then unusual she uses her unique skill set and he uses his. And if they were both inspired by a certain city's antics then the government's not talking. She goes by the alias "Black Widow" and he goes by the alias "Hawk Eye"
